Monet was surrendered to the shelter in mid-February with 6 of his brothers and sisters. He likes to cuddle his siblings and would likely do great being adopted with another cat or come into a home with another social cat. Though skittish at first, he opens up quickly when he realizes that you have head scratches to give. He is a comically aggressive cuddler - he will slam his tiny head and body into the palm of your hand and run back and forth to optimize pets, meanwhile purring like a car engine. We are still getting to know him, so come down to the shelter yourself to meet this little purr machine!Adoption processAdoption Applicants are reviewed, once passed, there is a $85-$95 adoption fee. Once the fee has been collected, the animal is transferred to The Animal Hospital of Cornelius for a final wellness check and spay/neuter if applicable.Shelter locationThe Cornelius Animal Shelter is located 19110 Meridian St, Cornelius, North Carolina. The shelter is open 11am-1pm, then 3pm-5pm during weekdays except Monday. 9am-12pm on Saturday. Appointments are available upon request, seven days a week.
