Trill, Domestic Shorthair For Adoption In Whitewater, Wisconsin

Price:
$4,500
Location:
Whitewater, WI
Description:

Meet Trill, an adorable and mysterious kitten who hides a delightful secret. She may appear reserved at first, but beneath that quiet exterior, there's a heart that longs for love and snuggles! Trill has a beautiful tabby coat and wide, inquisitive eyes that seem to hold the secrets of the universe. She feels most comfortable around other cats, especially her siblings, and will bat around a toy with them for hours. Her absolute favorite toy is a yellow pom pom—her “precioussss.” Once you retire to the couch or under the covers, she'll curl up next to you and purr contentedly, savoring the warmth and comfort of your presence. It's a magical moment and makes you feel like the most special person. Her secret love for snuggling is a testament to the affection she has to offer. The bond you'll share with her will be built on trust and the joy of discovering her hidden charms. If you have a calm and nurturing environment and are willing to give her the time she needs, you'll be rewarded with a loyal companion who loves to cuddle up when she feels safe. She would do best in a home with one of her siblings (Cadenza, Coda, Pitch, Treble, Crescendo) or with another feline friend. Trill has genetic megacolon, which is a chronic condition that affects the large intestine and can cause severe constipation if left untreated. We discovered this after a few of her littermates had GI issues. Good hydration, stool softeners, and monitoring can help prevent progression of the disease. Trill hasn’t had issues to date and her X-rays showed improvement with lactulose one to two times daily—this is a prescription stool softener that can be purchased inexpensively at a human pharmacy. If her condition worsens in the future, she may benefit from enemas or a surgery to remove the affected portion of colon. This surgery can be expensive (~$4500) but does have a good prognosis. We don't know if or when she will require additional care, but adopters should be prepared for potential medical expenses. If the need arises and adopters choose to proceed with surgery, Community Cat will pay $1,000 towards the megacolon surgery bill to help offset the cost. https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/megacolon-in-cats Approximate DOB: May 2023 Foster Home Location: Madison Consider adopting 2 kittens!
