Tommie Domestic Shorthair Kitten Male

Tommie is a special needs kitten. He looks and acts like a typical kitten, but he's living with only half of his lungs functioning. We don't fully know why this happened or what the future holds for this guy. We do know he's a happy, crazy, and playful kitten who loves everyone and loves to explore. Potential adopters should know he will need to have regular vet check ups, at least 1-2 times per year and preferrably with the vet he has been seeing. Any signs of respiratory infection or breathing issues must be checked out by the vet immediately, as they could be fatal. Tommie would do best in a low stress, calm house. A cat or kitten friend would be great for him. He does need to be limited to new animals coming and going from his home, as they potentially expose him to getting sick. He is small, and will likely be a smaller cat at full grown. Potential adopters will need to give a vet reference and/or be willing to continue using his current vet. If you are interested in Tommie, a meet and greet in his foster home can be set up, as he cannot attend regular adoption events.
