Pretty Kitty Alert!My name is Ms. Taetum and I am looking for a new home to call my own. I have never had one of those and I think it's about time I settle down. I have had a wild life living on the streets but recently I got some help from a wonderful rescue organization. You see, I was pretty sick and raising two kids as a single woman when they stepped in and granted me a foster family. I am now learning how sweet it is being a house cat and I just don't think I could ever go back to that scary outside world. I would be perfect for someone who gets lonely while going to the potty, who would like to learn the language of us cats- as I am an expert at chirps and coos, and who's feet get particularly cold at night. I could see myself loving just about any home however here are some of my preferences: -dogs who are gentle (I don't mind them and sometimes like to sniff them but they need to watch themselves if they try to get in my bizzness).-cats who don't try to cuddle, bother me, or look at me funny (I pride myself in my grooming and do not like when they try to mess up my beautiful coat).-I have not met any little humans yet but that could be cool if they know how to pet me kindly and are gentle when around me. My foster parents want to tell you that I am and all around love. Which is true, I love being petted sooo much. You can find me most of the time sleeping on a human bed because they are so comfy, particularly dad's pillow. I am learning what playing is like with new cat toys and would love for a family to teach me more about them.. and also what forever love is. Could I please come home with you?From my foster mom: Peaches is just a lovely cat and I know she will be someone's greatest companion. She is loving house life and is out all the time, she greets us at the door when we come home and is so active come meal time. She is really thriving indoors! Peaches is perfectly letterbox trained and does not scratch furniture - she uses cat scratching posts well. Peaches is estimated to be about 3 years old. We have male dogs and male/female cats and she tolerates them all, however definitely does not love when the cats get too close to her. She does better with the dogs and even rubs on them very hesitantly. Peaches was chronically underweight, dehydrated, low energy with an upper respiratory infection when arriving but came along with her two kittens who she kept in perfect shape, temperament and very plump. I think that says a lot about her, she is a survivor and has the kindest heart. Peaches is Rabies and FVCRP vaccination, Felv/Fiv tested (negative), Fecal Float tested (Negative), Dewormed, soon to be spayed and microchipped. Peaches's adoption fee is $200. This animal is in a foster home. If you would like to meet this animal, go to www.souldog.org to fill out an adoption application. When submitting your adoption application make sure to submit a good clear picture of your living room, kitchen, and yard. If you rent, you must provide proof animals are allowed. We will contact references. Once the application is reviewed our adoptions coordinator will send your information to the foster to set up a meet and greet.We ask that all members of the household come for a meet and greet to ensure there are no personality clashes. If you have other dogs in the home and are meeting a dog you must bring them for the meet and greet. Filling out an adoption application does not mean you will be adopting the animal. Doing a meet and greet with one of our animals does not guarantee you are adopting the animal. We will select the family we feel is the best choice for that animal after screening and meeting applicants.Adoption processAdoptions can be completed at our Fort Lupton Shelter or at one of our many adoption events that are held every Saturday around the Denver metro area.
