Sylvester has faced his share of challenges, including Stomatitis, which necessitated extensive oral surgery resulting in the removal of most of his teeth. Additionally, he battles a kidney stone in his left kidney, requiring a prescription diet for life to prevent further growth. Despite these hurdles, Sylvester's indomitable spirit shines through. It's important to note that Sylvester is FIV positive, a condition that doesn't dampen his potential for a happy and fulfilling life. With the right care and understanding, Sylvester is ready to embrace a loving home that appreciates his unique needs. Adoption Specialists and Volunteer Ambassadors are eager to help you find the pet that would fit best in your family. Adoptable Pets in Foster Homes:Some of our available pets are currently in foster homes. If an animal is currently in a foster home, it is noted in the animal's biography online. To meet a pet in foster care, please fill out a non-binding adoption application, and the foster parent will contact you to schedule a meet and greet once the application has been approved (generally within 24 hours). Found the perfect addition to your family? Now what?The next step is to fill out an adoption application. You can complete and application online (preferred) or stop by the adoption center to fill out a paper application. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older. If you rent your home, we will need to contact your landlord or see a copy of your lease to verify the pet policy. Most applications can be approved within 24-48 hours. Taking Your New Pet HomeAfter paying the adoption fee and pending the approval of your application, you may take your new pet home immediately.
