Speedway is a handsome 2-year old male Tabby kitty who was brought to the HSOV on April 12, 2024 by a Good Samaritan who had found him on Lockwood Street in Belpre Ohio on March 22nd. Speedway was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped. Speedway has a brown tabby short smooth coat with bronze highlights, a long ringed tail, and an adorable face with pale golden eyes, a brown velvet nose, and extra-long white whiskers. This sweet boy has a quiet, easygoing personality and was quite content to continue his cat nap when we stopped by to take his photos on April 14th. Speedway had a sore spot/wound on his hind left leg and a bit of hair missing on his tail when he entered our shelter, so he was examined by one of our wonderful local veterinarians on April 15th. He was treated for ear mites that day and was given rabies vaccine, but he didn't require any treatment for his leg. Speedway was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on April 12, 2024. He weighed 9.2 lbs that day. Since Speedway was not reclaimed, he was neutered on April 16, 2024. Speedway weighed 9.4 lbs that day. Speedway is ready to find a loving home of his very own either through adoption or rescue. Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (XXXX@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.Adoption processOur adoption process includes an adoption application which must be completed and approved by our shelter management. We verify veterinarian references and also approval from landlords if the pet will be housed in rental property. Home visits may also be required prior to adoption. All dogs/cats must be spayed/neutered before being adopted. Adoption fee for dogs is $150.00 which includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, dog tag, microchip, and spay/neuter. Adoption fee for cats is $40 and includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, and spay/neuter. Most adult cats (and kittens over 3-months of age) have already been spayed/neutered. Adoption fees for other species varies.Shelter locationWe are located at 90 Mt. Tom Rd. in Marietta ,Ohio 45750. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00am to 5:00pm; Sunday from Noon to 3:00pm. . Closed on Monday..
