Approximate Age: Two years old Date Listed: 4/12/2024 Bio: Meet Sky! Sky was living in a cat colony for over a year when a local rescuer saw him and realized he was wearing an extremely tight collar. The rescuer was able to trap him and remove the collar and quickly discovered that he was very friendly!He was not chipped and no owner was ever found. Shortly after being rescued, Sky was rushed to the ER because he was having trouble breathing. It was assumed that his issue was related to the collar, but it turned out that it wasn’t; Sky just had pretty bad asthma. After a few trips to the vet, we were able to get his asthma under control by getting him on a low-dose steroid regimen. Sky is doing great and is now ready for a home! Sky is approximately 2 years old. He is extremely affectionate and social and loves attention. He has a sweet demeanor, does well with other cats, and love dogs, too! He’d be great in any home. Due to his chronic asthma, Sky needs to take half a steroid pill every other day, most likely for the rest of his life. Sky is neutered, vaccinated, tested, microchipped, and ready to meet you! We do not hold cats or kittens. You must be approved to adopt in order to schedule a meet and greet with any of our adoptable cats or kittens. Kittens under the age of 8 weeks are available for pre-adoption. Our cats/kittens must be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Kittens under 8 weeks of age can be pre-adopted. After filling out an adoption application, if approved to adopt we can schedule a virtual or in person meet and greet. In order to pre-adopt you will leave an adoption donation deposit fee and fill out a pre-adoption agreement to hold them until their adoption date which will be 3-5 days after they are spayed/neutered.
