Hello! My name is Simba and I am a shy boy here at the Blue Mountain Humane Society looking for my forever home. I was brought in with my friend Suzie , and we are on the more introverted side. We would love to find a home together, but it's not required. We have lived in a home with dogs before, and we learned that we would prefer to go to a home where there are no other furry friends besides us. If you are someone who would be willing to give us the time and love we need to feel comfortable, please fill out an adoption application online. Then you can come on down during the shelter's open hours to meet us! We'll see you soon!Adoption process1. Browse the animals online or stop by during our shelter hours.2. Get to know the animal. Play with them, take them for a quick walk, observe their behavior.3. Talk to our staff about the animal. Learn about their personality!4. Once you’ve decided to adopt, fill out an adoption application. Dogs over the age of 6 months can go on a home-trial to make sure they are your perfect match. Puppy, cat, and kitten adoptions can be finalized that day!5. Receive a lifetime of unconditional love! Animals are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Part of our mission is to place the animals in their new forever home as soon as possible, so we normally don't "hold" an animal for the Adopter.Shelter locationWe are open to the public Tuesday - Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for adoptions. Special visiting hours are Fridays from noon-3 p.m. and Saturdays from noon-2 p.m. Our pets can also be seen online at www.bluemountainhumane.org
