Sammy boy here. I'm so excited to share my story with you all.I am just over 15 years old and have lived my best life so far. I have always been in the same household as my sister Sadie, which is why I have been exposed to being around at least another cat my entire life. I was not introduced to other cats or dogs outside of the cat I was already living with but have gotten some exposure in the shelter being around other cats and have done fine. One thing that really makes me happy throughout the day is knowing that I get some catio time with sunshine and a cool breeze. I do enjoy bird watching when lounging out on the catio. I came to MaxFund in June of this year and although I am enjoying my stay, I would really like to be out of here in my new home environment. I was relinquished to this shelter because my parents of 15 years decided they were wanting a change in lifestyle. Moved to North Carolina and did not want to stress me out with the drive there and figured I would benefit best in this environment for a while. It has taken some time to adjust to my surroundings but so far so good! I am ready to find my new pet parent(s).Adoption processOur adoption fees are as follows:Kittens up to six months are $100Cats seven months to seven years are $75Senior cats eight years and older are $50FIV+ and FELV cats up to 7 years $25FIV+ and FELV+ cats 8 years and up $15Puppies under the age of six months are $200Dogs over six months and under eight years are $125Dogs over eight years of age are $75 All animals come spayed/neutered, are current on vaccinations including rabies, and have been micro-chipped prior to adoption. The application process can take several days, depending on how long it takes us to get in contact with your references, your landlord, and your veterinarian. Once your application has been approved we will call you and let you know, and set up an approximate pick up time and date. This can take several days, so please be patient.
