Milo, Domestic Shorthair For Adoption In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Price:
$150
Location:
Philadelphia, PA
Description:

Meet Milo! Handsome, vibrant, affectionate, young...and he's single!?!! Swoon! Milo was found as a stray in December of last year after being found fending for himself outside. His caretaker let him soak up the spoils of indoor life for a few months before eventually getting him into PAWS to find his forever future family, and we're positive that lucky person/people will not be disappointed! Playful but nervous, Milo has been attentive and not shy about asking for attention from our staff and volunteers, but he will get a little shutdown and overwhelmed if you come on too strong, so because of that we think he would prefer a quieter home with older kids (but younger, cat-savvy kids that can let him warm up at his own pace isn't out of the question). Milo did test positive for FeLV when his caretaker first brought him in for care, so he would need to be the only cat in his next home and should be retested again in the near future to ensure the most accurate results. Please feel free to ask more questions about that, and consult with your own vet as well for additioanl advice. **Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is a virus that is specific to cats that attacks and weakens a cat’s immune system. Cats with FeLV can live normal, happy, healthy lives—with a shorter life expectancy than cats without FeLV. In the past, cats with FeLV in shelters were euthanized as soon as they were diagnosed. PAWS takes a different stance: we enable FeLV+ cats to live out their lives in loving homes. For more information feel free to check out the FeLV FAQs we have available on our website!** Age: ~1 year old How I came to PAWS: Found Stray Animal ID#: A55903 I am in a foster home and not at the shelter.
