DOB:1/1/2023 Meet Mickey Blue Eyes! As you can read in the photo, Mickey showed up at a cat colony in South Gate and the feeder there got him neutered, vaccinated, etc. However, there was no one to take him so he ended up back on the street with an ear tip. The good news is that we got Mickey off the streets and into a loving foster home. He's warm and well fed! Now we need you to make his dreams come true and to make him yours!Mickey is new to our foster care so we're still learning about him. So far he is incredibly sweet and a little on the shy side, but learning to explore and get comfortable in his new surroundings. He eats perfectly and uses the litter box too. He's easy to handle. We clipped his very long nails with no hesitation.He is FIV+. You can read all about that on our website. So he would be great as your only love or with a cat-friendly cat or dog. He's not aggressive, but these things happen on the mean streets. We're in love with his sweet, calm demeanor and know you will be too! Please complete an application and come meet him. We're in the valley! He has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV is not a big deal; given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissable to humans.
