Mama Kitty, Domestic Shorthair For Adoption In Birmingham, Alabama

Location:
Birmingham, AL
Description:

After being in rescue for over a year, this sweet kitty is more than ready for her forever family. This Mama Kitty and her son, Boy Kitty (AKA BK) came to us after after a kind hearted person took them in then sadly, she passed away. MK is about 4 years old and her son is almost 2 years. We originally thought they were bonded and needed to be adopted together but after introducing a new foster kitten into the mix, they've shown that while they love each other, they can bond with other animals. This sweet girl was initially shy and took a little while to open up but she has BLOSSOMED! She comes out for pets, has the best time rolling around on rugs, had picked her favorite perch by the front window, and is amazing with dogs. She needs a little introduction for new cats but warms up quickly. Another cute MK tidbit is that she's vocal and loves to tell you she's missed you or that you're 30 seconds late to feed her. Right now MK prefers sitting next to you for head rubs and walking across your lap. She also rubs your legs until you pay the "petting toll". MK is fully vetted, litter boxed trained, and ready to live her best life. Either together or separate, this dynamic duo have been looking for their families for over a year and we're hoping this is their time to shine! We know their names are dry but honestly, when you have a Mama Cat with kittens, fosters typically call her Mama and while Boy Kitty was originally called Tiger, Boy Kitty just stuck. Both cats will make amazing additions to the right homes. They're loving, sweet, young, and do funny cat things while still balancing people to alone time. If you are interested in giving these sweet cats a home, please apply today via this link: dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms. We'll forward that to their foster who will reach out to answer any questions. Our rescues are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are vetted and ready to travel. We adopt in AL & anywhere along our transport route to Rhode Island. All animals are altered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, & have a feline leukemia/combo test. All animals are microchipped & receive a interstate health certificate prior to transport.***A discounted rate is given towards bonded pair adoptions.*** Mama Kitty is the Mama to Boy Kitty. About 3-4 years old and 6-7 ish lbs.Very timid at first but warms up.We'd like her to be adopted with Boy Kitty as she opens up around him.Great with other cats and dogs! She's a talker. Loves a window with a view.Black with a speckling of white in her fur.Doesn't love to be picked up but will rub against your legs and hands for pettings. ===================================================================================== If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form Our rescue are fostered in Alabama foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel.
