Macademia showed up at an animal lover who lives in a quiet and remote neighborhood. It was assumed that she rode in someones car/motor to the location where she was found. She has been in loving foster care since she came to 9LCR and we at 9LCR believe she would make a great pet for any animal lover. Our 9LCR cats are not routinely tested for FIV and FeLV for various reasons, one being to keep the costs and hence the adoption fee affordable. This decision is based on studies that have found that only about 4% of cats are actually infected. The funds for testing are better utilized for our spay and neuter efforts of owned and community cats in order to save the most cats. However, testing can be performed upon request and need to be covered by the person interested in adopting. 9 Lives Cats have been spayed or neutered and have updated vaccines and a microchip.
