Luka is a people's kitten; he loves nothing more than to curl up on your lap and sleep with you at night. He would be fine as an only cat in the home, because he loves people so much. Luka spends his time on his cat perch watching the birds and squirrels and snoozing in the sun. All pets are microchipped, and the fee is pre-paid for a lifetime. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have. NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption. If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement. We DO NOT adopt to anyone under the age of 21. Indoor homes are required and we contact their vet, landlord and referencesShelter location99% of our dogs will be adopted in the New England area. We use a licensed pet transport so we adopt to where they transport.We team up with the local pet stores for adoption events and educating the public about spaying and neutering.
