Hello, I'm Lucky! I'm a shy boy here at the blue Mountain Humane Society looking for a nice calm place to call home! I was brought here for a second chance at my fur-ever home, and I hope that's with you! I was the only kitty in my previous home, so the people here are unsure how I'd do with other animals. I seem to like my personal space, and would prefer if I can come up to you on my own time. If you are the type of person that is willing to give me the patience and love I need to thrive, fill out an adoption application on the BMHS website and come on down to meet me!Adoption process1. Browse the animals online or stop by during our shelter hours.2. Get to know the animal. Play with them, take them for a quick walk, observe their behavior.3. Talk to our staff about the animal. Learn about their personality!4. Once you’ve decided to adopt, fill out an adoption application. Dogs over the age of 6 months can go on a home-trial to make sure they are your perfect match. Puppy, cat, and kitten adoptions can be finalized that day!5. Receive a lifetime of unconditional love! Animals are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Part of our mission is to place the animals in their new forever home as soon as possible, so we normally don't "hold" an animal for the Adopter.Shelter locationWe are open to the public Tuesday - Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for adoptions. Special visiting hours are Fridays from noon-3 p.m. and Saturdays from noon-2 p.m. Our pets can also be seen online at www.bluemountainhumane.org
