Hi my name is Lucious!I am a huge cuddler and would be the best lap cat.I do have some kidney issues and am on a special diet.I am a very adoring old man, looking for a comfy home to spend my golden years!If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm (Winter hours).If you'd like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to XXXX@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. Please follow the instructions on each pet profile.Adoption processDue to COVID-19, Newberg Animal Shelter is not open for walk-ins. Please view our available pets on our website, newberganimals.com.If a pet is listed as available at PetSmart, you can go directly to that PetSmart to adopt (call to verify availability first).If you are interested in a pet that is available in our shelter, you will need to submit an adoption application to be considered.We are receiving multiple applications on every pet. If we do not call you to do an adoption, please do not consider it a rejection. We simply have a lot of applications coming in and very limited staff.Adoption Applications do not place holds on pets, nor do we do pre-adoptions. Rather than doing first-come-first-serve adoptions, Newberg Animal Shelter considers all applications and chooses the home that is the best fit for that particular pet. We want the adoptions to be happy and successful for the family and the pets. Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, and at least their first set of vaccines, and microchip.Puppies: $275-$600Young Dogs: $240-$400Adult Dogs: $100-$250Senior or Special Needs Dogs: $100-$225Long-term Resident Dogs: $60-$100Kittens: $150-$200Young Cats (1-2yo): $100-$175Adult Cats (2+): $100-$125Senior or Special Needs Cats: $75Long-term Resident Cats: $40Shelter locationShelter location by appointment only:1591 S Sandoz RoadNewberg, OR 97132(503) 554-XXXX Adoption partners:Pets going to adoption events will be listed on our website newberganimals.com.
