Lola is a lovely, gorgeous orange little girl, about 7 months old. She came to us as a very scared stray kitty fand has recently starting blossoming into her own gentle, kind personality. She will certainly grow into her ears when she gets older and will fill out nicely, we are positive. Lola is in Kitty City right now so the little ones in Kitten Corral do not overwhelm her. She is gaining confidence as each day passes with our staff helping her every step of the way. Lola will do best in a quiet home with another young, playful kitten or a teenager that is very respectful of her space. We want to make sure Lola continues on her journey to trust humans and other animals but slowly and on her own terms. She truly is a real beauty now. We can only imagine her when she's fully grown!...........Please come meet this sweet soul soon! (We keep our posts up-to-date.) We do ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, on a first-come/first serve basis. Appointments are available:Mon., Wed, Thurs.~ 10am-2:30pmFri. & Sat.~ 8:30-Noon***NOTE: Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip and vaccines; all required before adoptions are finalized.We are a rural animal control and depend on both local and out-of-county folks to adopt our pets. We appreciate you looking!Adoption processOur stray animals are held 10 days to see if the owner will claim them. If no one claims the animal, the animal is put up for adoption. We also accept owner surrendered animals (for a fee) if space allows. Also...Due to Illinois state law, no animals can be adopted without being fixed first. So, if the pet you select is spayed/neutered, you can take it home right away. If not, adoption will be finalized after our next spay/neuter clinic.Shelter locationAppointments only.
