Jacob is a bit feisty and is very playful. He loves to sit on laps, and to curl himself into a tight "ball". He'll find your lap the minute you sit down. And he loves to eat! You have to watch him because when he's finished eating, he'll find his buddy's bowl and help himself! He's got the sweetest meow when he wants attention. He loves to be held and likes to be brushed. How relaxing and comforting it is to the both of you when you sit and brush him. He won't want you to stop! He is very curious and likes to run out of his room to explore the rest of the house. Jacob is in a foster home with his new buddy Stevie, and it would be wonderful if they could be adopted out together. Jacob is a bit younger than Stevie, but they play-wrestle all day and sometimes walk with their tails entwined - which is really something to see! Both cats listen very well and amazingly - they know their names! They are such good boys who would be a delight to have in your home! Since they get along so well, we'd love to get them adopted out together. Jacob was born around 01/02/2022.Adoption processOnce you've filled out an application, we will contact your references and put you in touch with the foster/caregiver of the cat. Once your application is approved, we schedule you to attend an online group seminar on cat care. Then you would sign the adoption papers, pay the adoption fee, and make arrangements for the cat to be moved to your home. We always do a home visit which is both reassuring to the cat when it is being introduced and to the foster who has taken care of the cat. Presently we are doing home visits with FaceTime or Zoom to confirm you have secure windows, no toxic plants and a generally safe environment for a cat. The adoption fee is $150 for one cat under 7 years old, $75 for one cat 7 years and older. All cats have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated (FVRCP and Rabies vaccines), microchipped, dewormed and spayed/neutered.
