The strings of my heart are waiting for just the right person to come along so I can play beautiful music. I'm Harper, an orange tabby and white, adult male who was found at Woodridge on Second Apartments in SW Rochester. Hisses are music, too, although maybe not the kind most people want to hear. That means I'm nervous, but I'm not afraid to let people know about it! I don't hiss much anymore, but I do hiss when people tell me exercise time is over, and it's time to get back in my cage! Staff and volunteers are amazed at how much I've changed. Instead of huddling in the back of my cage, I love being out running around for play and movement! I even approach people and rub against them to ask for petting. I would probably do best, however, in a home with no small children. I'm a handsome boy, and I'll continue to change and grow as I get more freedom of movement and room to explore. Imagine the wonderful music I can make when I become your Harper boy. I think it will sound like PURRRR!!Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + taxAdoption processPaws and Claws Humane Society (PCHS) is a non-profit, mostly volunteer organization that rescues and shelters homeless cats and dogs until they can be adopted into their “forever” homes. We want our clients to understand that adopting and animal is a lifetime responsibility and commitment to that animal. All prospective adopters must show (at the time of adoption) a valid drivers license or other acceptable identification to verify their name, address, and age. Adopters must be 18 yrs of age. Children under the age of 12 years old need to be present at time of viewing shelter cats or dogs. After submitting an application, there is generally a processing period of 1-3 days in order to complete all pre-adoption checks and paperwork before an adopter may take possession of the animal.
