Meet Fancy! This sassy little tortoiseshell was born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which is a condition where the cerebellum (the part of the brain that controls coordinated movement) didn’t form completely while the kitten was developing. It is a non-progressive, non-painful condition that only affects Fancy by adding a bit of a wobble to her step (see video). Fancy still plays and snuggles like any other kitten, and is about 90% litterbox trained—she may have an occasional accident while adjusting to her forever home, but does make a conscious effort to use the litterbox. Fancy’s ideal home would have another playful feline companion and minimal stairs to help keep her safe. The Brave team is happy to be a resource and support while Fancy and her forever family get to know each other and adjust to life together. It is fostered in a private home in Lincoln. The adoption fee is $150 (or $250 for two) which covers age appropriate vaccines and dewormings, a microchip, FIV/FeLV testing, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures.
