Escape (with mustache) and his sister (Pepe) are very sweet 8-week-old siblings. We are hoping to get them adopted together. We are currently taking applications to "pre-adopt" them. They will be ready to go to their furever home in July 2023. Prior to being adopted, they will be fully vetted. Please see below for our adoption protocol. Save A Kitty, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) kitty rescue. Our adoption process is as follows: We require a completed application, a home check, and an adoption fee (with the amount depending upon the kitty). We will also discount the adoption fee, if an individual adopts 2 kitties at the same time. All of our kitties have been quarantined for a minimum of 15 days, had their shots, been tested for FIV/FELV, given parasite treatment, and will be spayed/neutered before being placed into their forever home.Adoption processWe have a 2 page application. We do a home check and have an option if we adopt to do a follow-up visit. Our adoption contract is a legal document and includes no release of adopted cats to a third party. We have an adoption fee that ranges from $125 to $200 depending upon the kitty, which helps us with some of the medical costs to ready our kittens for adoption (including testing for FIV/FELV, spaying/neutering, shots, deworming, and flea treatment). If 2 cats are being adopted, we will sometimes reduce the fee. Even if we do a home check, that does not constitute an adoption.Shelter locationWe hold kitty adoptions at the Petco in Van Nuys and Granada Hills as well as Whole Foods.
