Adoption processFOR DOGS ...Potential adopters will need to complete the Canine Application which requires landlord reference or proof of home ownership along with vet reference and a non family personal reference. Some instances may require a home inspection. We require a meet and greet with all household members and resident dogs present at the shelter. The adoption fees are $175 to $400 ($150 for large senior dogs, $175 for small senior dogs, $275 for adults, $350 for puppies six months to one year, $400 for puppies under six months). If you wish, you may print and fill out the form and bring it with you to adoption day. Click here for our a Feline Adoption Application. FOR KITTENS ...Potential adopters will need to complete a Kitten Application and provide proof of vaccinations and spay/neuter for other animals living in the home. Renter must also provide a copy of their rental agreement showing pet allowance. The adoption fee is $130 for a DSH kitten, $160 for a DLH, specialty and purebred kittens. All kittens are flea treated, wormed, leukemia tested, and are up to date on shots as appropriate for their age. Adopter is responsible for remaining vaccines. Spay/neuter and microchipping is included in the adoption fee and will be done by the shelter when the kitten reaches the appropriate age.Click here to submit a kitten application online.
