Donnie would make a perfect companion to any cat lover. He likes to sit near people, will follow you around, and happily climbs into laps. Once he trusts you he will sleep with you. He likes to defy anyone calling him senior with bursts of energy and zoomies! Donnie gets along with other gentle, friendly cats like himself yet his greatest joy is being with people. Born around March 2007, Donnie was adopted as a young adult and returned more than a dozen years later when his owner could no longer care for him. Give Donnie a do-over for his golden years!Adoption processOnce you've filled out an application, we will contact your references and put you in touch with the foster/caregiver of the cat. Once your application is approved, we schedule you to attend an online group seminar on cat care. Then you would sign the adoption papers, pay the adoption fee, and make arrangements for the cat to be moved to your home. We always do a home visit which is both reassuring to the cat when it is being introduced and to the foster who has taken care of the cat. Presently we are doing home visits with FaceTime or Zoom to confirm you have secure windows, no toxic plants and a generally safe environment for a cat. The adoption fee is $150 for one cat under 7 years old, $75 for one cat 7 years and older. All cats have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated (FVRCP and Rabies vaccines), microchipped, dewormed and spayed/neutered.
