Hi friends, I'm Contessa, and I'm searching high and low for my furever home! I was with my daughter Hanna when sadly, our owner passed away, and we were released into a neighborhood about a year ago. This entire experience has caused a lot of heartache for us, so 'm looking forward to getting back to a life of love, stability, and trust. I’m a 6-year-old Domestic Short Hair female weighing in at 10 pounds. I’ve been spayed already, as well, and my health is A-OK. I like to spend my days sleeping in quiet spaces throughout the house. It can take some time for me to come out of my shell, but I’m working through my trust issues that developed from my past. I am happy to be by a window to look out and watch the world go by. I am an independent lady, very low maintenance, and would be happy with a safe home to call my own with a nice owner that leads a calm, quiet life. My ideal household would be one who is patient and one who will give me unconditional love by allowing me to do my thing and chill! I love to find a spot to sleep and loaf at my own leisure. I would be most happy in a home without any other cats, preferably no dogs, a comfy cat bed, and provided with pets (and love) on my own terms. My adoption fee is $75 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. We do not provide transport of dogs to other states, and don't allow the dogs to fly in the cargo of the plane.Our adoption process from start to finish, involves 3 standard forms, and 2 situational.All potential applicants must be capable of providing their adopted pet with routine and emergency veterinary care (yearly health checks, keeping vaccinations current, heartworm/flea preventatives, and immediate care in the event the animal is sick or injured). They are required to license their pet, and keep an identification tag on their pet at all times.All applicants must agree to a home check, and provide us with a veterinary reference, or personal references if you're a first-time pet owner. Our home checks are not to invade the privacy of the applicants, we do this to ensure the pet is going into a safe home.
