Meet Carl While I was out feeding this cat came running up to me crying for help (I named him Carl). His poor paws were freezing standing in the snow. It looked like he was abandoned because he was having trouble surviving on the streets. As I opened my car door to see if I had a trap and he just jumped right inside and made himself at home. Carl is quite the talker and loves carrying on a conversation with you at all times. Carl is very low key, easy going and super friendly. The vet estimates that he is about 1 year old and said he is a bright, alert, very healthy cat. Carl tested positive for FeLV which is Feline Leukemia. We ran two separate tests to make sure that he did not have a false positive but both tests came back positive. FeLV compromises a cat’s immune system but cannot be transmitted to humans. Carl can and will lead a normal life. He needs a home where he can be the only cat or placed with another cat that is FeLV positive. Carl is fully vetted and micro-chipped and looking for his forever home.
