An unclaimed escape artist, BUSTER had a home before both his owners passed away. He has since become the ruler of the cat room kingdom. He's obviously very tolerant, loves to go out for walks in a leashed harness, but lives pretty much by his own rules. He likes limited petting but loves the attention, he can be handled easily and is an all-around great cat...on his terms. Buster also tested positive for Feline AIDS (FIV). He can live with FIV-negative cats that are peaceful non-fighters, so please educate yourselves!! The standard adoption fee is $100 cash or $105 debit/credit. This includes feline testing, vaccines, spaying/neutering, micro-chipping and de-worming. This includes all basic vet work such as immunizations, altering, and heartworm and leukemia tests. We reserve the right to be very picky with our pets as some of them are very small and sometimes fragile. We usually do not place small dogs or kittens in a home with children under the age of 5, however, we do take the individual circumstances and the individual pet into consideration. An Adoption Application must be completed and if approved, an Adoption Contract is required for final approval to adopt.Shelter locationWe recently opened an Adoption Center in Albemarle which serves as a location for record keeping and to kennel a limited number of cats. The Adoption Center is located at 650 Hwy 24/27 Bypass East. Pets are brought to this location for viewing on alternate Saturdays for our Adopt-A-Thons. Pets may also be met by appointment with the foster family.
