Bunny was barely more than a kitten herself when she was discovered living on Johnson Lane under a Lady's deck along with her 4 Kittens. Although we suspect she had belonged to someone once, she had reverted to feral while living on the streets. She was terrified when trapped and brought to us in July 2020 and lashed out at anyone that came near her. With time, patience and a lot of singing (she loves to be sung to) she has made incredible progress. Bunny has become very affectionate with people, once she gets used to you. She is still skittish of strangers and does not like to be picked up but loves to be petted. She will rub against your legs, asking for pets and love. This beautiful and petite little girl is also very playful and has a big personality.While it's possible she may regress a bit when she goes to a new home and require a little more patience and adjustment time than other cats, she will be well worth the effort.If you can't adopt, please consider sponsoring Bunny so she can continue to be safe, loved, warm, well-fed and happy at Catmandu while she waits for her furever person comes to take her home.If you'd like to meet me and maybe take me home, fill out the Online Pre-Adoption Questionnaire on our website, www.catmanduCC.org (https://www.catmanducc.org/adoptions#:~:text=Fill%20out%20the%20Online%20Pre%2DAdoption%20Questionnaire)Then come by Catmandu Friday through Sunday to meet the kitties and talk with an adoption specialist. Adoption hours are 11 am to 4 pm. Plan to arrive no later than 3 pm so you have time to spend with the cats before adoptions close at 4. Please bring a carrier in case you find your purrfect friend.Renters must bring a copy of their lease showing they are allowed to have a cat.June 23, 2023, 12:21 amAdoption processWe do not adopt "sight-unseen" or ship out of state. You must visit in person to choose your new family member.Shelter locationWe are open to the public Friday through Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. We ask potential adopters to come no later than 3:30 pm so they can spend plenty of time with the cats before we start dinner/afternoon meds, and close at 5 pm
