This lady is Big Bit, she came into our facility with her sister Little Bit as an owner surrender with no fault to them. When she first came in she was very confused and had to be shaved due to severe matting along her back. Due to all the confusion of being in a new place, Big Bit was very standoffish with everyone for a good few weeks. As time went on we had a select few employees spend lots of time with her to get her acclimated to her new environment. She would hiss, swat, and swipe when she felt overwhelmed. During this time we continued to be patient and talked her through it. Since moving her and her sister, Little Bit, into our Big Cat room, she has improved greatly with her curiosity to meet new people. Big Bit enjoys head scratches, lap time, birb watching, and taking long naps. She will also let you know when you need to pay more attention to her. She is 5 years old, spayed, vaccinated, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. Big Bit is a bonded pair and must be adopted with Little Bit and is waiting to go to her furrever home.
