At just a year old, Beezy has experienced more than many cats do in their entire lifetime. As a kitten, he was adopted out into what he hoped would be his forever home, but soon he developed signs that something was seriously wrong. Faced with the terrible diagnosis of FIP, along with an expensive and daunting journey to try to heal him, Beezy's owner made the difficult decision to surrender him to us in hopes we could help him survive. FIP had previously had been an incurable illness, but now there is an experimental treatment available. At this time, he does not require any future treatment for FIP. Just like with any animal (as they are living breathing creatures), we can never guarentee what may happen in the future. We are happy to answer any questions an adopter may have about FIP. The road to remission was not easy for Beezy. He was in truly dire shape when we began the 84 days of injections. Thankfully, it didn't take long for him to start responding to treatment. Beezy was not a fan of his daily shot, but showed us his sweet, loving personality even when he was not happy with us! In his current foster home, Beezy finished up treatment and entered his observation period where he was able to join the resident cats (and dogs and kids) and freely roam the house. Beezy stole the hearts of humans and animals alike within the first few day. Once he realized the rough stuff was over, he started to willingly ask for cuddles, crawl onto laps, play with any cat he could find, and even curl up with our crazy lab puppy! We call Beezy our equal opportunity snuggler. He is happy with ANY warm person or animal willing to show him some affection. Beezy is almost always found with a snuggle buddy. He does not have a shy bone in his body, greeting every new visitor to the house with excitement. Beezy is incredibly special - both a fighter and a lover - he gave it his all to survive and shows us every minute of every day just how thankful he is that we gave him a chance and never gave up. While his foster family would love to have Beezy stay forever, we know he is ready to find his forever home and start his new life. Beezy absolutely needs to go to a home with other young cats and is also a huge fan of dogs and kids. He loves chaos - the more people to love on him, the better! Cats are negative for FelV/FIV, receive age-appropriate vaccines and deworming, are spayed/neutered and are microchipped (free lifetime registration with adoption).
