Yyyyyikes! Maybe I don't have to tell you this, but it can be an insane world out there, especially when you're a stray cat! I'm a 1-year-old, orange tabby guy called Zane. I was found near Elgin with a can stuck on my head. I had a bite wound on my neck, so I was put on antibiotics. And I had a badly infected eye which could not be saved, so it had to be removed. I don't think anyone would blame me for being nervous about coming to the shelter, but I'm grateful for being attended to and having food, shelter, and caring people who give me affection. Being held takes some getting used to, but I like being petted. I'm quiet, but I like to play a little bit. Now that I've recovered from my surgery and am free from pain, I feel more settled in here. I'm starting to feel like myself again - the real Zane will show you that the world is not always so zany after all. Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax
