Toulouse Hello, I'm Toulouse. As you can see, I'm a painfully handsome, 2-year-old Tabby boy, but my stunning good looks are a curse because everyone wants me. Folks have adopted me and then taken me back to the shelter whenever I got a UTI. I have Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD). The Vet at HSHC believes my UTIs are probably linked to stress and worsened by decreased water consumption. The veterinarian tells me that UTIs shouldn't be an issue if I'm in a loving environment where I feel safe and have access to fresh water. However, I require urinary health cat food because I'm prone to UTIs without the proper diet. My forever family will know I'm worth it and care for me properly, just like my foster family. I LOVE my foster home! I'm using the litterbox with no issues, rubbing up against every new person I meet, playing with interactive toys, watching birds from our balcony while wearing a harness for safety's sake, sleeping with my foster mom at night, and patting her face with my paw as we fall asleep together. I'm being trained to use the scratching post and to wait at the food station for my meals. My foster mom thinks I'll be a great companion for a family with children, and she's right. I had good relationships with the kids in my former homes. I readily accept others and am affectionate with everyone--except mice! While having fun in foster care, I long for my forever family. I want to be with people who will love me for the rest of my life and return the affection I give them. 6-22-23
