Please call/text this number if interested: 918-728-XXXX Cat located in this city: Lockhart, FL 32810 (NW Orlando) Cat’s Name: Tawny Cat’s Age & Sex: 3-4 years, Female Cat’s vetting history (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped): she has been spayed and given rabies and distemper vaccine Animals story: (where found and reason for wanting to rehome): Tawny came to me as a stray, and I am trying to find her a permanent home you can tell she was abandoned or lost and she deserved a better life Personality (shy, social, likes to be held, lap cat? Likes or dislikes): Tawny is a very loving kitty, but she will need someone with patience. She shows signs of previous abuse by people in that she is very hand shy. She will run up to you, rub against your legs and even rub against hands, but she will shy away if a hand reaches out for her. It’s gotten better over the time I've been spending with her, but she will need someone that can work with her.*****ALLOWING her to adjust in a small space like a bathroom is highly recommended by he rescue lady helping me. This way she can adjust much quicker and not many spots to hide. Other than that, Tawny LOVES TOYS! She will play with anything. She also loves condos and other things she can crawl into and sleep. She adores other cats, but she would do best in a home with older cats as she prefers to play with toys rather than other cats. She just likes to lay around with other cats. I do not know how she would react to a home with dogs or kids, but her easy going nature I think with slow and quiet introductions she would do well. And as a cat that has now been outside (at no fault of her own) she will need some time just to adjust to an indoor environment. And she would love to be an inside only cat. You can use deterrents outside any doors if she becomes curious like a horn, fire crackers, or scary mask. This will help greatly. Any Supplies that go with pet (food, litter, leash, cat box, bedding, toys): I have a couple of toys she really liked adopter can have What food is the cat eating (dry only, dry and wet): Blue Buffalo dry and wetBut have learned how important giving lots of wet cat food is and more on that below. :::::::::::Please know that cats need canned wet food given DAILY. Why? Because cats have a low thirst drive and actually NEED the moisture from the wet food! Wet food is 75 % water (dry FOOD only 10%) and giving them wet food daily will help them avoid Urinary tract issues (which can lead to litter box avoidance), kidney disease, obesity issues linked to diabetes and cardiac issues. You will save on vet bills too!
