Brown/orange torbie, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 5/10/21, #16838Other cats: happiest as solo, okay to co-exist with one other mellow catDogs: prefers not Children: older respectful kids okayTasha first came to The Rescue House as a kitten along with her mother when they were rescued from the shelter where they'd found themselves. Tasha was adopted, but a young member of the household has an allergy to cats that has gotten progressively worse, and it was decided that it would be best for Tasha to find another home: a home where there are no allergies to get in the way of closely connecting with her people and being a full-ranking member of the family.Tasha is a beautiful tabby/tortoiseshell mix with soft, luxurious fur and a signature black spot on her nose. Gentle and sweet-natured, Tasha perks up when she sees a toy. While she gets excited for interactive games with you, she also finds the fun in playing with inanimate playthings and can entertain herself when you're not available. Curious with a dash of independence, Tasha will greet new people to say hello. She isn't overly keen about being picked up (she's a girl who likes to keep her paws under her own control most of the time), but she craves all other forms of attention. If you stroke her from head to tail, Tasha will reward you with loud happy purrs!Tasha would be happiest as your solo kitty love, though if there's another mellow cat in the home who doesn't bother her then she can likely co-exist. She is not interested in being buddies. She finds dogs intimidating and would prefer not to live with any canines. She has lived with 7 and 9-year-old children (choosing to sleep with them at night until allergies got in the way) and could likely do well with similarly-aged kids who are respectful and gentle with her. Tasha is an adorable kitty who just wants to be loved. Will you welcome her into your heart and home forever and ever?
