Are you looking for the most loveable mush of a cat ever known to mankind? Here I am! Hi, my name is Sterling and I'm approximately 15 years old. I came to the VHS when my owner died in November and have been in foster care ever since. My foster mom loves me very much, but she thinks I might be happier in a house with only one or two other cats. I don't mind calm dogs. Sometimes I can be a little shy when I first meet you, but I love every human I meet! I am front paw declawed. Do I look a little skinny? Well, despite weighing a healthy 9 lbs, I should be a little bigger. I have a condition called hyperthyroidism. My thyroid produces too much thyroid hormone and causes my metabolism to speed up. I am always eating even though it doesn't show. But don't fear! Hyperthyroidism is easily controlled with a pill that I take twice daily. The best part is, if you put the pill in canned food, I will gobble it right up - no need to stick your hand in my mouth! I am a little older and have developed some litter box standards. I need my litter box to be cleaned twice a day and a generous amount of litter kept in it as well. As long as you do those things, I will use my box 100% of the time. If you miss a day scooping, though, or let the litter get too low, I will potty next to the box. Sorry! Did you know that senior cats are the most often overlooked pets at animal shelters? I might not be as playful as the young whipper snappers at the shelter, but I do still love to play. What I love even more than playing, though, is cuddling. I still have so much love to give, and I would love to snuggle on any human who will spend time with me. Please don't let my age scare you. Would you like to meet me? I'd love to meet you!
