Sconi Bamboni... Poor little Sconester has been in foster here at TCR since he was a wee bean. Scone came to us as a small kitten, but he was a particularly tough nut to crack when it came to getting over his fear of people. Scone is doing AMAZING in his current foster home, where he was shy at first but has been very affectionate with his foster mama - to the point where he drools all over her when she's petting him. We anticipate that it may take him quite some time to get used to a new family, but he has been accepting of new friends with an appropriate warm up period. Scone is a timid boy who can put on quite a show until he realizes that he's going to get scritches (which he loves!). Then he's an excellent biscuit maker and even a snuggler. He prefers playtime and attention to food, and he would love a human pal who is dedicated to giving him the time and space he needs to blossom. Scone would do well in a calm home without a lot of loud noises. He gets along well with other chill cats and tends to be submissive with his cat friends. Scone will do best in an adult-only home (or a home with very cat-savvy, older kiddos). His new family must understand that it will be imperative to his success to start him out in one small room before allowing him to venture into the whole house. We are hoping that with an appropriate introduction period, once he's comfortable, Scone will be all over his new people. He enjoys napping in the window, playing with his wand toy, and making biscuits. Scone is about two years old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. For the right family, we would consider a foster-to-adopt scenario for Scone.
