Sammy (neutered male)12 years (dob Aug 2010) - orange DSHSurrendered due to litterbox issues and picked on by other cats Described as couch potato - affectionate Lived inside - Uses litter box Likes to sit on lap and be pettedLikes to be picked up and held Can be brushedCan trim nails Likes catnip and will occasionally bat around a toy mouse Runs away from confrontations with other animals Good w/ women, men, childrenFair w/ other cats Sammy usually uses the litter box but has been going outside of it in what appears to be a stress response to chasing behavior from other cats in the house. Started about 5 years ago. Vet ruled out physical reasons and have tried litter attractant, pheromone collars/sprays and medication to no avail. I believe he would do great as an only pet or perhaps with another very relaxed older cat. Sammy is very sweet and loves to be held like a baby, petted and carried around. In typical orange fashion, he's not very smart but is best friends with every person he meets. Adoption Fee: $0 (until 4/30)
