Salem's a bit of a shy sweetheart who's looking for a calm home with adopters who understand that she needs time to warm up. But let us tell you, once she's comfortable, get ready for some serious attention - on her terms, of course. She's got a cool independent side, but don't be fooled - belly rubs and playing with wand toys are her jam. Salem's quite the socialite with other cats, so we think she would thrive in a multi-cat household. She's even done well with small, laid-back dogs, though the large and energetic ones ain't her cup-of-tea. She does have a history of going to the bathroom outside of the litter box when she's left alone, so having a family that's around often and can help manage her litter box preferences would be ideal. As a senior cat, Salem will benefit from some extra TLC to manage age-related concerns like kidney disease, but her endearing charm make her a true gem worth cherishing.
