Ruby was rescued from a hoarding situation. She was fairly shy with her foster mom and other people at first, but has really come out of her shell with time and some patience. It didn't take her long to discover how much she enjoyed a good petting session filled with ear scratches and head butts - especially when it’s on her terms! Ruby will likely always be a tad skittish, but as long as you are patient and let her come to you, you’ll find a super loving, affectionate kitty! This fluffy girl loves to spend her days lounging in her cat tree with a window view. She also particularly enjoys squeezable treats and playing with her toys and the resident cats in her foster home. Ruby had a polyp removed from her sinus cavity and has sustained a very minor side effect as a result: her inner eyelid sometimes appears at varying degrees in her left eye. There is no required treatment, it goes up and down on its own. It appears that a nerve may have been damaged when the polyp was removed. Ruby is tested, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is great with other cats, large dogs, and gentle children. It is highly recommended that Ruby be adopted into a home where she will have other cats to play with, as they seem to really help her come out of her shell.
