Ruby was rescued from an animal shelter during the height of the pandemic. She is very affectionate and welcoming. When I first went to the shelter, she greeted me with little meows and is how I knew she was the one for me. Ruby does shed hair but it's not bad where it requires a daily cleaning. Ruby has a brother (not biological), James, who she is very affectionate towards. James was adopted at the same time as Ruby. She is very good with strangers and if you have kids, I'm sure she'd be really well with them as well. She does not bite (unless you carelessly touch her tummy continuously) and only meows when she wants affection. She will often bump her head against you as she purrs by your side. Ruby is very nimble and likes to jump on the sink - she knows that we'll turn on the faucet for her to drink water. She has been trained not to jump on tables or beds so you can leave your home knowing that she would not leave any hair on your bed or tables :)
