Description:

Sweet, affectionate orange & white youngster (born approx 4/16/23) loves attention & affection. She was found by a kind young woman while out in the woods taking part in wilderness ROTC training - no phones were allowed. She shared her MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) with the kitten; but got in trouble for sneaking it into camp. When they were about to pack up & move to a different location, she borrowed a medic's phone, called her fiance to urgently come get the kitten gave him coordinates to the medic's location - bless his heart; he drove 2 hours in a rainstorm at 10pm because she asked him to! However, he was allergic to cats! He phoned her mom, who contacted us with this backstory, asking for help; what else could we say but yes? The next day the mom drove from Burlington to Lexington, KY to get the kitten from the fiance, then brought it to our foster mom in Mason. They'd assumed male, named it General Henry Knox (for Fort Knox where she was found). But, this kitten is FEMALE!, and quite healthy, considering initially eating MRE's rather than catfood, how many miles she has recently travelled and how many hands she has rapidly changed thru. For now, we're calling her ROTC. Adoption fee (75.00) includes Spay or Neuter, vaccinations, combo-tested - negative for FeLV & FIV, and micro-chipped.
