Adopt Rosie & Ricky a Brown Tabby Domestic Shorthair / Mixed (short coat) cat in

Location:
O Fallon, MO
Description:

Sweet mama Rosie, and her adorable baby boy, Ricky, are now available for adoption! Rosie was living in a parking lot in Farmington until one of our dear rescue friends found and saved her. Just in the nick of time too because she was pregnant and thankfully had her baby in the safety and comfort of a foster home. Ricky was her only baby and they are very much bonded together. As such, we would like them to be adopted together. She’s so patient with him and they love to wrestle and play with one another. I often find them curled up together, and he still likes to nurse, even though she doesn’t have milk. It’s a comfort thing for both of them. Ricky is all boy and full of energy! He loves to run and play, and is especially fond of fuzzy pom-pom toys. He’s very sweet and friendly, but at the age where cuddling is not his top priority. He would much rather play and explore but once he wears himself out, he'll climb onto your lap for a cat nap. Rosie is a total love bug and just wants to be near you or on your lap. She will give head nuzzles and pat your face with her paw. She is an absolute doll and such a sweet girl. If you're looking for a cat who likes attention and wants to snuggle, she's the one! Rosie is FIV+, but not a big deal. It just means that her immune system might be a little more compromised than the average cat, making her a bit more susceptible to viruses. However, with proper care and a good diet, she will most likely live a very long and healthy life and does not need any medication or special treatment. In fact, she is very healthy and has not had any issues at my house. Ricky did test positive for FIV, but he will need to be retested at six months as he still has mom’s antibodies in his system and may end up being negative. Please don’t let this dissuade you from this adorable duo; they are wonderful cats and will provide you with loads of love and joy. They are a bonded pair so they need to be adopted together, no exception. Both kitties are altered, current on vaccinations and chipped - Rosie DOB is 2/1/2021 (tag 13655JB).
