Rayo: black & white bicolor, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 3/11/23, #18436Sushi: black & white tuxedo, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 3/11/23, #18437Cats: feline friends recommended Dogs: likely fine Children: polite kidsWhile out conducting TNR to reduce the homeless cat population, a Good Samaritan ended up with a nursing mom after the hungry kitty wandered into her carrier in search of a tasty snack. At the spay/neuter clinic, the rescuer learned from staff that the kitty had recently given birth, and she decided at that moment to save the kittens from the streets. Our human hero released the mommy, and when attempting to follow the cat back to the babes didn't work out, she enlisted other residents in the search for the family. Eight weeks later, a neighbor found them underneath his shed. Although mom declined the invitation of foster, she urged her kittens to go with the woman and agreed to be spayed if she could remain in the wild. With the kittens finally in her care, the rescuer reached out to The Rescue House for support with preparing the quartet for adoption. While she loved and nurtured them, we helped with the logistics. Two already went home, and Rayo and Sushi are all ready to join their forever families!Each day is a new adventure with these fabulous kittens-they're down to party anytime and anywhere! Play is the key word with this pair as they are always ready to romp! ---Rayo is fast and outgoing! A confident and mischievous fellow, he is ever on the move. He will perform stunning vaults and impressive leaps in pursuit of the feather wand or worm teaser toy. ---Sushi is somewhat reserved; however, an enticing kitty trinket will bring him out! In fact, he enjoys playing more than eating! He loves when you pet him and will ask for cuddles.---Rayo and Sushi MUST be adopted together.While they didn't interact directly with the resident pets, they were very interested in their foster family's cats and dogs. We think they should be okay with welcoming felines and possibly cat-savvy canines too. They do fine with school-aged children and enjoy playing with polite kids. After a rough start in life, these spunky kittens will purr their way into your heart. The only question is ... when will you take them home?
