"I see your true colors and that's why I love you." (Trolls) "Hello, my name is Poppy. I came to New Leash on Life in hopes of finding a home full of love and understanding. You see, I'm a bit shy and will need time to adjust to new things and new people. In the time I've been at the Adoption Center, the staff and volunteers have been working on my trust issues and wow, have I come a long way. You see, they are winning me over with treats and spray cheese, YUMMY! I still tense up if they try to pick me up, but that's not as bad as it used to be. I would prefer a home without young children since loud noises scare me but hey, I've already come so far!" Born in September 2022, Poppy's gorgeous Tortie coat of ginger and black will remind you of a cinnamon snicker doodle. We enjoy talking to Poppy and giving her treats but we would much rather see her snoozing on a couch or in a cozy corner in her own home. Poppy is litter box trained, spayed, microchipped, has received age-appropriate vaccines, and is on flea prevention. If you are patient and willing to give her time, plus a few treats now and then, Poppy will show you her true colors.
