Adopt Peter a Tiger Striped Domestic Shorthair (short coat) cat in Santa Rosa

Peter came to us as an 8 month old cat - he and his siblings born from an unplanned litter of kittens, not taken care of, and then he probably got bit by a feline housemate and developed a large abscess in his axillary area. His abscess was treated and he was neutered and started on vaccines. He is now about a year old. He healed quickly from his abscess. He is very allergic to fleas, so that a flea or two in the household, leaves him chewing himself. And, he doesn't like other cats - he tolerates cats that ignore him with confidence, but cats that act intimidated, he tends to bully. After a few months of struggling in an environment that didn't really suit him, he is in a foster home on his own - as the only cat - and is doing very well. With good flea control and no other animals to share fleas with him - and with no stressful altercations with other cats - his hair is regrowing and he is happy and comfortable. He takes a little time to settle in to a new home, but is very affectionate once acclimated. He loves attention, loves extra snacks and tlc, and cuddles with his foster mother in bed every night.
