Penny is a beautiful 1.5 year old calico who was found as a stray in Hartford. She has been adjusting to indoor life for the past 6 months and has really come out of her shell! She is quite the chatterbox and loves to demand treats from you, sit in the window and monitor the neighborhood, or just be near you while quietly purring. Penny is still getting comfortable with being petted and will need a patient adopter who is willing to earn her trust. She will be happiest if she has a quiet room to start off with, spending quality time with you while she gets her bearings and adjusts to a new home. Given her timidness, a home with young children is not recommended. She is in a foster home with a dog who she will growl at some but then calm down and just observe from a distance. The foster home she is in does not have cats, but she would likely be ok with them as long as the introduction is slow and careful.Penny is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative. All cats adopted from Pack Leaders must remain indoor-only pets and must never be declawed. Please apply to adopt at packleadersrescue.com.
