Penney is a survivor! She is fully recovered and ready for her forever home! This special girl loves attention and is your lap girl! Penney's life started with challenges, born in a JCPenney parking lot, navigating a world of cars and trucks as a young kitten. Thankfully, the Newnan Coweta Humane Society rescued her, but every rescue story has its hurdles. During preparations for her spay surgery, Penney somehow got trapped in her kennel, leaving her right rear leg stuck for an unknown duration. Discovered just in time, she was rushed to the vet for cleaning, stitching, and the addition of a wound drain. As time went on, it became evident that nerve damage occurred, and NCHS is determined to prevent amputation. Instead, they're exploring a groundbreaking option: laser treatment, a specialty of Dogwood Veterinary Clinic. But these treatments are costly, and Penney's recovery hangs in the balance.
