LAP CAT EXTRAORDINAIRE DOB 5/26/22 Are you looking for a sous-chef to be your kitchen assistant? Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Oat, and I’m a friendly, outgoing, super-curious, playful “ticked” brown tabby gal who likes to be right in the center of the action, especially when someone's cooking. I not only thrive on activity but also like to settle in Foster Meowmy’s lap for a nice nap when all the stimulating action has died down. I was a teenage orphan hanging out at a high school when my future foster Meowmy found me. Because I was friendly and begged her to pet me, thank heavens she scooped me up and brought me home to join her feline companions. Foster Meowmy figures that I’d been someone’s pet who’d been abandoned or couldn’t find my way home. I adjusted easily to my wonderful new indoor life with all its amenities like brimming food and water bowls as well as temperature control. I get along great with the resident adult kitties, who are mentoring me about my feline manners, which my momma would’ve taught me if she’d been around. I love tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling with these kitties, and everyone’s teaching me to play more gently without love-bites. I’d love to go to an adoptive home that has other kitties for me to play with. Although I haven’t been around either kids or dogs, since I’m so adaptable, I’d probably do great with them too as long as they are well-mannered. And, of course, my new family will need to shower me with love and make sure that I keep up my good habits and best manners! I can’t wait for us to write new chapters in our lives together. Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a gal like me who’s past the stage of kitten mayhem. I’d be much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break any of your treasured accessories.
