4-year-old Nestor is sweet, lovable, and affectionate. He loves being brushed and receiving cheek scratches. When he's not cuddling with his foster family, you can find him hanging out with his feline foster sibling. He loves other cats! He is also fostering with a cat-friendly dog and doing well. Nestor is diabetic and is well controlled with insulin that he receives twice a day and prescription food. As luck would have it, he also has asthma and uses an inhaler. His foster family tells us he's a great patient and they would be more than happy to show his adopter how they provide treatments. Nestor's ideal home is with someone who can continue his care and give him lots of love. He would love to live with a feline sibling as well! About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Our of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application prior to schedule a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, we a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
