LadybugMy name suits me perfectly because ladybugs foreshadow a streak of good luck and are tied to love. I'm chock full of love and brimming with good luck! However, I was a hot mess when I was found on the road and brought to HSHC this summer. I had been suffering from an upper respiratory infection and ear mites. As if that wasn't bad enough, I tested positive for FIV. That's a whole heck of a lot for a one-year-old kitty to handle! Fortunately, this virus can't be spread to people or any other animals and is only transmitted to cats through deep bite wounds, not via casual contact. It can lower my immune system, which means I need to be an indoor kitty with regular veterinarian care. I'm on the mend now, in a foster home, and doing much better. As I continue to get healthy, I'm also being socialized by my foster family. They're spending quality time with me and teaching me to trust humans. I'm learning what it's like to feel safe and cared for as I wait to be adopted by my forever family. I'm still so young, with my entire life ahead of me, and I can't wait to make a fresh start! 9-6-23
