Messi is an absolute love bug!This gorgeous long-haired kitty is very lucky to be starting a new life after being rescued from a hoarding/dumping situation involving 50+ cats. And, speaking of luck, when this kitten was picked up from the vet after neutering, foster mom was informed that HE was a SHE ! Only 20% of orange kitties are female, so this was quite a surprise. Did you also know that ginger kitties are known to be the friendliest of all cats and are generally known for their super-chill and loving purr-sonalities? (This could be a myth, but Messi seems to prove all of this to be true.)Messi is a tiny bit shy when meeting new people, but once you pet her, she is very happy to be loved and becomes quite the cuddler. She is also an excellent groomer, and wins the “clean plate” award every day!Like most kittens, Messi is very playful and especially enjoys balls and kicker toys. She and her bonded buddy, Lionel (also rescued from the situation described above) love a good game of kitty soccer. Rumor has it that Lionel may actually be Messi's dad, but no one has contacted Maury Povich yet to find out for sure.Pretty little Messi would probably do very well in almost any type of household as she absolutely LOVES people. She has not been exposed to any dogs, but might adapt to a gentle dog if the introductions are handled properly. Messi and Lionel were rescued together and need to stay together. They get along famously, and will be the perfect additions to some lucky person's home.
